Public Notice Flood Hazard

Public Notice Flood Hazard Revisions to the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) Flood Insurance Rate Map (FIRM) Panel 2400100220D dated August 2, 2011. The Baltimore County Department of Public Works, in accordance with National Flood Insurance Program regulation 65.7(b)(1), hereby gives notice of the County of Baltimore's intent to revise the flood hazard information, generally located between Painters Mill Road and I-795. Specifically, the flood hazard information shall be revised along Gwynns Falls from a point approximately 4,730 feet downstream of I-795 to a point approximately 150 feet downstream of Painters Mill Road. As a result of the revision, the floodway shall widen and narrow, the 1% annual chance water surface elevations shall increase and decrease, and the 1% annual chance floodplain shall widen and narrow within the area of revision. Maps and detailed analysis of the revision can be reviewed at the County Office Building, Room 219, 111 West Chesapeake Avenue, Towson, Maryland 21204.
